Background: Traditional cognitive and daily functioning measures that utilize episodic assessment schedules are less sensitive to subtle within-person change in those at risk for Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study aimed to evaluate whether longitudinal trajectories of high frequency cognitive assessments (HFA) and passively assessed higher order instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) differ between those with intact cognition (CN, n = 59) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI, n = 45). An exploratory aim evaluated whether the use of person-specific distributions would detect differences in longitudinal trajectories not captured by traditional between-group analyses.

Background: Cognitive assessments are essential for detecting and monitoring cognitive changes in neurological populations. Compared to standard pen-and-paper tests, online cognitive tasks offer a more accessible, scalable, repeatable and cost-effective approach to assessment. Cognitron is an online cognitive assessment platform with previously demonstrated validity and reliability (1).

Objective: Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is the most common extraintestinal manifestation of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The application of screening tools to detect SpA in patients with IBD may lead to earlier recognition of SpA and affect treatment decisions.
Methods: A combination of two previously described SpA screening questionnaires, DETAIL and IBIS-Q, was administered to consecutive patients with IBD attending IBD specialty clinics in six U.

Antithrombotic drugs are widely used to prevent thrombotic events in patients with cardiovascular diseases. However, they all carry varying degrees of bleeding risk. Currently, there are no approved reversal agents for antiplatelet medications, which limits their further clinical application and poses challenges in managing bleeding complications.

Background: Prolonged dependence on mechanical ventilation is a common occurrence in clinical ICU patients and presents significant challenges for patient care and resource allocation. Predicting prolonged dependence on mechanical ventilation is crucial for improving patient outcomes, preventing ventilator-associated complications, and guiding targeted clinical interventions. However, specific tools for predicting prolonged mechanical ventilation among ICU patients, particularly those with critical orthopaedic trauma, are currently lacking.
