A 71-year-old man presented for a routine physical examination with multiple comorbidities, including severe panvascular disease and valvulopathy, requiring anticoagulation therapy. He had a history of chronic hemolytic anemia and had been taking oral ferrous sulfate for two years. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (UGE) was performed, as part of the study of the persist anemia, revealing an extensive nodular area with multiple brownish deposits and spontaneous hemorrhage.

Unlabelled: Nasal polyp (NP) is a pathological benign mass that affects the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. This lesion is occasionally associated with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), which is named chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) indicates abnormal cell proliferation which may help assess the nasopharyngeal lesions and upper airway cancers.

Background: Nasal myiasis, an infestation by fly larvae, is a rare condition typically associated with immunocompromised individuals, poor hygiene, and low socioeconomic status. It is commonly seen in tropical regions and is often linked to chronic sinonasal diseases or underlying health conditions. However, cases in healthy individuals without predisposing factors are uncommon, making this case novel and worthy of documentation.
