The development of post-traumatic fistula between the carotid artery and jugular vein is an extremely rare clinical condition. The authors present a 28-year-old patient, who sustained a gunshot injury to the right side of the neck 6 years ago, with undiagnosed contralateral carotico-jugular fistula.

Objectives: The risks of mortality and graft failure in those receiving organ transplants from donors who have drowned are unclear. We compared 5-year mortality and graft survival from those receiving a drowned donor kidney or liver to those receiving organs from alternative causes of nondrowning donor death.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective analysis, we searched the United Network for Organ Sharing database between January 1, 2010, and June 30, 2022.

A pseudoaneurysm is an abnormal dilatation within the wall of a blood vessel due to the formation of a hematoma in the vessel wall after vessel injury. Because of the protective nature of the facial skeleton and the deep location of the lingual artery, the lingual artery pseudoaneurysm is rare. The authors report a case of a 20-year-old male who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including to the mouth, presenting with immediate life-threatening injuries.
