Fast periodic visual stimulation (FPVS) coupled with EEG has been used for a decade to measure word-selective neural responses in (a)typical adults and developmental readers. Here, we used this FPVS-EEG approach to evaluate suitable and optimal stimulation frequency rates for prelexical and lexical word-selective responses and relate these rates to typical reading speed and interindividual variability in reading performance. EEG was recorded in 41 healthy adults who viewed words inserted periodically (1 Hz) at four different stimulation frequency rates (4 Hz, 6 Hz, 10 Hz, and 20 Hz).

Filamentous fungi are recognized for their significance in food processing and antibiotic production, as well as their capacity to produce mycotoxins. Numerous secondary metabolites have been investigated, and their occurrence in foodstuffs, both in the field and during the storage of agricultural products, poses a substantial health risk to consumers. Several fungal species capable of producing mycotoxins have been documented.

Deoxycholic acid (DCA) injection is applied in treating moderate to severe submental bulge or facial fullness caused by excessive submental fat accumulation. Using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) technology, which was swiftly, precisely, and reliably confirmed, DCA was determined in human plasma with low quantification limits of 56 ng/mL. We selected six healthy individual blank human plasma with low concentrations of endogenous DCA and mixed them to prepare standard curve samples.

Before they even talk, infants become sensitive to the speech sounds of their native language and recognize the auditory form of an increasing number of words. Traditionally, these early perceptual changes are attributed to an emerging knowledge of linguistic categories such as phonemes or words. However, there is growing skepticism surrounding this interpretation due to limited evidence of category knowledge in infants.
