Effective strategies for implementation and evaluation of public e-health innovations.

Published: February 2013

The creation of a new public e-health product is no guarantee that it will be used. Developing an implementation strategy is crucial for success. This paper presents a model for both an implementation and an evaluation process. It offers strategies for the multiple phases of an implementation process (foundational concepts, actual implementation, and the on-going use process). It also offers evaluation considerations that parallel each of the implementation phases.

Preservation of Liver Graft Using the Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion (HOPE) System: A single-center experience.

Transplant Proc

January 2025

BioBizkaia Research Health Institute, Barakaldo, Bizkaia, Spain; Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation Unit, Cruces University Hospital, Bilbao, Spain. Electronic address:

Introduction: The hypothermic oxygenated perfusion (HOPE) system has been developed to improve the quality of previously considered suboptimal liver grafts, reduce complications, and increase the number of available donors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the results since its implementation in the liver transplant (LT) program at our center.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective descriptive analysis of all LTs with HOPE from August 2022 to November 2023 with a minimum follow-up of 3 months.

The paper presents a new sensor-less voltage and frequency control method for a stand-alone doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) feeding an isolated load. The proposed control approach directly regulates the magnitude and angle of the rotor-flux vector rather than controlling rotor currents or voltages as in classic field oriented control (FOC). To accurately regulate the magnitude and frequency of stator voltage, two separate closed-loop based PI regulators are employed to evaluate the reference signals of the rotor flux vector magnitude and angle, respectively.

Objectives: The main objective of this study was to evaluate whether the implementation of CoBaTrICE (Competency-Based Training in Intensive Care Medicine in Europe) provides higher levels of competency in comparison with the current official time-based program in Intensive Care Medicine in Spain. Secondary objectives were: 1) To determine the percentage of critical essential performance elements (CEPE) accomplished, 2) To determine compliance with workplace-based assessments (wba).

Design: Multicenter cluster randomized trial.
