The paper introduces a multiple signal classification technique based method for fringe analysis. In the proposed method, the phase of a fringe pattern is locally approximated as a polynomial. The polynomial phase signal is then transformed to obtain signals comprising of only even- or odd-order polynomial coefficients. Subsequently, covariance matrix formulation is applied, and the two sets of coefficients are jointly estimated from the noise subspace of the covariance matrix using the multiple signal classification technique. The method allows simultaneous estimation of multiple coefficients and provides phase without the requirement of complex unwrapping algorithms. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated through numerical simulation.

Over the last ten years, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has organized an annual influenza forecasting challenge with the motivation that accurate probabilistic forecasts could improve situational awareness and yield more effective public health actions. Starting with the 2021/22 influenza season, the forecasting targets for this challenge have been based on hospital admissions reported in the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance system. Reporting of influenza hospital admissions through NHSN began within the last few years, and as such only a limited amount of historical data are available for this target signal.

Introduction: Nakaseomyces glabratus is considered a high priority of attention according to WHO, and also is an important yeast species due to its high rate of intrinsic/acquired resistance against fluconazole. This study aimed at the possible mechanisms of action of thymol, as the promising new antifungal agent, in N. glabratus.

One key determinant of HIV-1 latency reversal is the activation of the viral long terminal repeat (LTR) by cellular transcription factors such as NF-κB and AP-1. Interestingly, the activity of these two transcription factors can be modulated by glucocorticoid receptors (GRs). Furthermore, the HIV-1 genome contains multiple binding sites for GRs.

Next-generation cancer phenomics by deployment of multiple molecular endophenotypes coupled with high-throughput analyses of gene expression offer veritable opportunities for triangulation of discovery findings in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) research. This study reports differentially expressed genes in NSCLC using publicly available datasets (GSE18842 and GSE229253), uncovering 130 common genes that may potentially represent crucial molecular signatures of NSCLC. Additionally, network analyses by GeneMANIA and STRING revealed significant coexpression and interaction patterns among these genes, with four notable hub genes-, , and -identified as pivotal in NSCLC progression.

Background: Studies have suggested associations between montelukast and increased risks of sleep disorders, including overall sleeping problems and insomnia. However, the results of observational studies are not consistent. Understanding these associations is crucial, particularly in patients solely diagnosed with allergic rhinitis, where montelukast use remains prevalent.
