Polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs) based on hyaluronic acid (HA) and poly (diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDDA) were deposited on oxidized polystyrene (PS) via the layer-by-layer (LbL) method. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) confirmed the PEM deposition on PS, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) indicated that the surface roughness of PS also increased after PEM deposition. Plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium Sp7 utilizes fructose efficiently via a fructose phosphotransferase system (Fru-PTS). Its genome encodes two putative Fru-PTS, each consisting of FruB (EIIA), FruK (Pfk), and FruA (EIIBC) proteins. We compared the proteomes of Sp7 grown with malate or fructose as sole carbon source, and noticed upregulation of the constituent proteins of Fru-PTS1 only on fructose.

Bacterial-fungal interaction (BFI) has significant implications for the health of host plants. While the diffusible antibiotic metabolite-mediated competition in BFI has been extensively characterized, the impact of intercellular contact remains largely elusive. Here, we demonstrate that the intercellular contact is a prevalent mode of interaction between beneficial soil bacteria and pathogenic filamentous fungi.

In the current research mushroom/bentonite clay (RDBNC) as a low-cost bionanosorbent was investigated for adsorption of methylene blue (MB) and malachite green (MG) dye from contaminated water. Mild steel provides strength to various building and industrial materials but it is badly affected by corrosion. In the present study, we investigate the efficacy of , a plant-based green corrosion inhibitor to minimize mild steel corrosion in a 1 M HSO solution.
