Objective: To explore the etiology of patients with chief complaint of vertigo in the department of neurology in order to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis.
Methods: A total of 367 patients with chief complaint of vertigo in our department of neurology were followed up. The associated medical history, symptoms and physical examination were obtained.
Results: The main diagnoses for the 367 patients were benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) (219, 59.7%), posterior circulation ischemia (PCI) (65, 17.7%), migraine (31, 8.4%), hypertension (18, 4.9%) and psychogenic vertigo (17, 4.6%).
Conclusions: Presentation of vertigo can be clinically diagnosed in most diseases, with the most common cause of BPPV. Combination of the prominent clinical features, physical examinations and especially Dix-Hallpike maneuver may guide the general physicians to a most proper cause of vertigo.

The duration of mechanical systole-also termed the flow time (FT) or left ventricular ejection time (LVET)-is measured by Doppler ultrasound and increasingly used as a stroke volume (SV) surrogate to guide patient care. Nevertheless, confusion exists as to the determinants of FT and a critical evaluation of this measure is needed. Using Doppler ultrasound of the left ventricular outflow tract velocity time integral (LVOT VTI) as well as strain and strain rate echocardiography as grounding principles, this brief commentary offers a model for the independent influences of FT.

Angiodysplasia is one of the causes of recurrent episodes of lower gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Angiodysplasia could be associated with few lesions or multiple diffuse lesions, causing diversity in the clinical presentation of such patients. We report a case of a 19-year-old male presenting with life-threatening gastrointestinal bleeding due to diffuse angiodysplasia of the bowel extending from the jejunum to the sigmoid colon and requiring multiple investigations and management.

Objective: In order to determine whether intermittent theta-burst stimulation (iTBS) is a viable adjunct treatment for schizophrenia, a meta-analysis of double-blind, randomized clinical trials (RCTs) was performed.
Methods: Four independent researchers extracted and synthesized data from RCTs on adjunctive iTBS for patients suffering from schizophrenia. RevMan 5.

Objective: The benefits of mobile applications in the prenatal period remain understudied. This study assessed associations between the Pregnancy Postpartum Support Program (PPSP), a digital wraparound service, and maternal and infant outcomes in a Medicaid population.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on pregnant patients with Medicaid insurance who received care and delivered in a Midwestern United States healthcare system between 8/1/2022-8/15/2023, comparing outcomes among those who did versus did not opt for PPSP enrollment.
