This paper studies the causes of hyperthermias occurring after a subarachnoid hemorrhage by ruptured aneurysm in 54 patients, totalizing 66 febrils episodes. Only 29 episodes bacteriologically proved infections. The profile of thermic curve, the hemodynamical profile, and clinical examination are not convincing. The most convincing elements for the diagnosis of infection are the increasing number of the leucocytes counts, the increasing curve of CRP, and simultaneous decreasing curve of C4. The evolution of these parameters permit to follow the efficiency of antibiotics.

A 15-day-old, female, captive cub was hospitalized after developing severe hyperthermia, depression, and lack of appetite. The clinical condition rapidly worsened, and the tiger cub died in 72 h after the onset of neurological symptoms, septic shock, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. The postmortem main gross findings consisted of a severe and diffuse bilateral fibrino-suppurative meningoencephalitis and ventriculitis, mild fibrinous and sero-hemorrhagic polyserositis and cystitis, severe pulmonary edema, and hemorrhages.

Meningioangiomatosis (MA) is a rare proliferative meningovascular entity that has been described mainly in humans and dogs. Here we describe MA in a 13-y-old spayed female domestic shorthaired cat that died 5 d after acute change in behavior, open-mouth breathing, seizures, hyperthermia, and inability to walk. On MRI, the lesion appeared predominantly as extraparenchymal hemorrhage.

Introduction: Various neurologic manifestations have already been described in children during or after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections. The central nervous system disorders reported in children are mainly encephalopathies during multisystem inflammatory syndrome. We present here an acute meningoencephalitis with cerebral vasculitis associated to a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection in a 13-year-old girl with a 1-year clinical, electroencephalogram (EEG), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) follow-up.
