There is an urgency to advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other sexual and gender minority (LGBTQ+) racialized migrants and Canadian policy reform due to the rise in human rights violations globally for LGBTQ+ community members as they fight for constitutional change. Canada projects itself as a world leader in the protection of LGBTQ+ rights and is promoted as an ideal destination for those fleeing persecution. Contrary to this image, Canada has received harsh public criticism for its failure to live up to the expectations of a benevolent refugee-receiving country.

Drug overdose is a leading cause of death among adults in the United States, prompting calls for more surveillance data and data sharing across public health and law enforcement to address the crisis. This paper integrates Black feminist science and technology studies (STS) into an anthropological analysis of the collision of public health, policing, and technology as embedded in the US National Overdose Response Strategy and its technological innovation, the Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP). The dystopian Netflix series "Black Mirror," which explores the seemingly useful but quietly destructive potential of technology, offers a lens through which to speculate upon and anticipate the harms of collaborative surveillance projects.

Introduction/aim: Turkey has experienced a heavy migration burden in recent years due to its location and benevolent policies. This study aimed to retrospectively examine and discuss the reports prepared for foreign nationals who requested assistance at the Forensic Medicine Department of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital in Tokat, which is located in the Middle Black Sea Region of Turkey, between 2014 and 2022.
Materials And Methods: This study retrospectively evaluated reports prepared between 2014 and 2022 in the outpatient clinics of Forensic Medicine at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital.
