Forty-two patients with primary invasive vulvar carcinoma were treated with radical vulvectomy and deep femoral lymphadenectomy with preservation of the fascia lata and cribriform fascia. The rationale for using this technique was based on anatomic knowledge of the topographic distribution of groin lymph nodes, which was confirmed by the study of 50 cadavers. The preliminary data show that the number of superficial and deep femoral lymph nodes removed from the 42 patients (mean number of nodes, 20; range, 8-32) was similar to the number reported in anatomy books. In addition, the five-year actuarial survival rate, 70%, was comparable to that in the literature. These preliminary results suggest that the surgical technique used in this study is as radical an oncologic procedure as Way's classic groin lymphadenectomy, which consists of removing the fascia lata and cribriform fascia.

Background: The role of local infiltration anesthesia (LIA) in knee surgery is significant. LIA can be more potent than a nerve block, but without the downsides. A wide range of agents are used for LIA, including some off-label medications such as dexmedetomidine and ropivacaine.

Bone marrow adipose tissue is a distinct adipose subtype comprising more than 10% of fat mass in healthy humans. However, the functions and pathophysiological correlates of this tissue are unclear, and its genetic determinants remain unknown. Here, we use deep learning to measure bone marrow adiposity in the femoral head, total hip, femoral diaphysis, and spine from MRI scans of approximately 47,000 UK Biobank participants, including over 41,000 white and over 6300 non-white participants.

Interpreting postmortem concentrations of 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) remains challenging due to the wide range of reported results and the potential idiosyncratic nature of MDMA toxicity. Consequently, forensic pathologists often rely on a body of evidence to establish conclusions regarding the cause and the manner of death in death involving MDMA. Given these issues, implementing pharmacogenetics' (PGx)' testing may be beneficial.

Deep femoral artery aneurysms are very rare; particularly when isolated and occur simultaneously in both limbs. We report such a case of a misdiagnosed 16-year-old male presenting after hematoma evacuation was attempted for painful swelling in the left groin. Once the diagnosis was confirmed by computed tomography angiography (CTA), an emergency aneurysmectomy with deep femoral artery (DFA) ligation was performed on the left limb.

Introduction: Arterio-enteric fistula is one of the extremely rare complications of penetrating trauma.
Case Presentation: A 27-year-old male presented to the emergency department with a gunshot to the right buttock. Initial assessments revealed a left femoral shaft fracture, the right buttock as the bullet inlet and the medial portion of the left thigh as an outlet, with no other significant findings.
