In the past decade, substantial progress has been made in understanding how Src family kinases regulate the formation and function of invadosomes. Invadosomes are organized actin-rich structures that contain an F-actin core surrounded by an adhesive ring and mediate invasive migration. Src kinases orchestrate, either directly or indirectly, each phase of the invadosome life cycle including invadosome assembly, maturation and matrix degradation and disassembly. Complex arrays of Src effector proteins are involved at different stages of invadosome maturation and their spatiotemporal activity must be tightly regulated to achieve effective invasive migration. In this review, we highlight some recent progress and the challenges of understanding how Src is regulated temporally and spatially to orchestrate the dynamics of invadosomes and mediate cell invasion.

Corynoline (COR) is an isoquinoline alkaloid derived from the traditional Chinese medicine Corydalis bungeana Turcz, known for its analgesic, antibacterial, neuroprotective, and osteoporosis-alleviating properties. However, its potential molecular effects against osteosarcoma (OS) remain unclear, warranting further investigation. This study demonstrated that COR inhibits OS cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner.

Gynecomastia, the abnormal enlargement of male breast tissue, is a rare side effect associated with dasatinib. This drug is used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). We present a case of dasatinib-induced gynecomastia in a 52-year-old gentleman with CML who developed bilateral breast enlargement and tenderness after approximately four months of dasatinib treatment.

Recent therapeutic strategies have highlighted the potential of β-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) and α-ketoglutarate (α-KG) as effective anticancer agents, particularly for colon cancer. These metabolites can modulate cellular metabolism and induce epigenetic changes, inhibiting tumor growth. Nonetheless, certain cancer cells may utilize ketone bodies, like BHB as nutrient sources under hypoxic conditions, potentially reducing treatment efficacy.

Objective: This study aimed to identify the potential active compounds in Rhizoma Musae decoction and understand their mechanisms of action in osteoarthritis treatment.
Methods: UHPLC-Q-Exactive-MS/MS technology was used for an in-depth analysis of the chemical compounds present in Rhizoma Musae decoction. A network analysis approach was used to construct a comprehensive network of compounds, targets, and pathways, which provided insights into the molecular mechanisms of Rhizoma Musae decoction in osteoarthritis treatment.

Background: Alcohol use in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is under-researched. Previous reviews have explored substance use as a whole, but this neglects individual characteristics unique to different substances. Alcohol use in non-clinical samples is associated with diverse responses.
