A 3.5-year-old girl presented with skin lesions beginning as a small pustule that progressed to very painful large ulcer with rolled up edges and irregular borders. At presentation, active ulcers were present over the left elbow. There were healed ulcers with scarring present on the chest, back, both thighs and abdominal wall. This child had negative antinuclear antibody, cytoplasmic antinuclear cytoplasmic antibody, antiphospholipid antibodies and tests for hepatitis B and C. She did not have any symptoms to suggest ulcerative colitis. Her colonoscopy was absolutely normal. Histopathology from her skin lesion was consistent with pyoderma gangrenosum.

With this short communication, which contains a new case report on diabetic ulcer, we summarize our research progress in treating several complex conditions at a point where currently available treatments were failing to help the affected patients. We review the first case of lower back pain due to severe spondylitis (T12-L1) treated with intravenous injections of a sterile fraction of human purified amniotic fluid (ViX001) obtained from thoroughly screened volunteers at the time of planned c-section at the term of normal pregnancies. Then, we review the first case of recalcitrant diabetic ulcer treated successfully by twice-daily applications of ViX001 directly on the wound and describe another case of diabetic ulcer treated successfully with ViX001.

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is an extremely rare disorder in children. We report a nine-month-old girl with PG who presented with high-grade fever and rapidly progressive ulcers at the site of a Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) inoculation 2 months after the immunization. Additional small pustules developed on her hand and posterior neck three months after the immunization and rapidly progressed.

This is a case report of a 61-year-old man who was detained by the police for erratic driving.
