The first aim of this paper is to give emphasis to the importance of assessing phase information when reconstructing and mapping a sound field. In fact, in acoustic analysis phase distribution is frequently simply either not considered or ignored, even though it can supply very useful information for the understanding of the mapping itself or for further analyses. In this paper a procedure to carry out phase mapping of acoustic sources in beamforming measurement is illustrated. The second aim of this paper is to propose a straightforward iterative optimization algorithm based on the monopole substitution starting from beamforming results. It allows for the reconstruction of sound field without the use of any matrix inversion. Both numerical and experimental validations of the method are presented. Results shown hereafter prove the effectiveness of the approach.

Introduction: Currently, trials are investigating the efficacy of nutrient-stimulated hormone-based therapies (NuSHs) in promoting weight loss in people living with overweight and obesity. However, the extent to which nutritional and functional outcomes are evaluated remains uncertain. Thus, we conducted a systematic mapping to assess the presence of nutritional and functional outcomes in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating NuSHs.

In this work, we introduce spatial and chemical saturation options for artefact reduction in magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF) and assess their impact on T and T mapping accuracy. An existing radial MRF pulse sequence was modified to enable spatial and chemical saturation. Phantom experiments were performed to demonstrate flow artefact reduction and evaluate the accuracy of the T and T maps.

This study investigates the spatio-temporal consistency of different MMDI formulations and their role in meteorological drought characterization uncertainty under historic and future climates using ERA5 reanalysis, and outputs from eight Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 models, respectively, across different climate zones and shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP) in the Indian subcontinent. Six MMDI formulations namely the Standardized Precipitation Evaporation Index (SPEI), Reconnaissance Drought Index (RDI), and self-calibrated Palmer Drought Severity Index (scPDSI), Standardized Palmer Drought Index (SPDI), Standardized Moisture Anomaly Index (SZI) and Supply Demand Drought Index (SDDI) are used. A suite of analysis including agreement mapping, category difference analysis and uncertainty contribution analysis using global sensitivity analysis (GSA) are employed to quantify the consistency of MMDIs and uncertainty in drought characterization due to the MMDI formulation.

Background: Unwarranted clinical variation presents a major challenge in contemporary healthcare, indicating potential inequalities and inefficiencies, and unrealised potential for better outcomes. Despite an increasing focus on unwarranted clinical variation, and consideration of efforts to address this challenge, evidence-based strategies which achieve this are limited. Audit and feedback of healthcare processes (process auditing) and clinician engagement are important tools which may help to reduce unwarranted clinical variation, however their application in maternity care is yet to be thoroughly explored.

Background: Normothermic ex situ heart perfusion (ESHP) has emerged as a valid modality for advanced cardiac allograft preservation and conditioning prior to transplantation though myocardial function declines gradually during ESHP thus limiting its potential for expanding the donor pool. Recently, the utilization of dialysis has been shown to preserve myocardial and coronary vasomotor function. Herein, we sought to determine the changes in myocardial metabolism that could support this improvement.
