Aims: The goal of this study was to report skull vault injuries characteristics among motorcyclists after crash.
Materials And Methods: It was descriptive study performed at the Departmental Hospital of Borgou, Benin from January 2008 to April 2009. It concerned motorcyclists hospitalized after traffic accidents. They undergoing skull X-ray and or Brain CT-scan.
Results: On 106 patients answering the criteria of inclusions, 40 (37,7%) presented a lesion of the skull vault. Sex ratio M:F was 4,71. The mean age was 24,55 years. Skull X-Ray was performed in 25 cases, CT- scan in 9 and both in 6.A fracture was observed in 22 patients (55%), a depressive fracture in 13 (32,5%) patients, an association fracture and depressive fracture in 5 patients (12,5%). The location was: frontal 47,5%, parietal 22,5%, temporal 7,5%, occipital 2,5%. Intracranial lesions were identified in 12 (80%) of 15 patients receiving CT-scanning.
Conclusion: The skull vault lesions observed after motorcycle crash in our study are worrying. Helmet use law may reduce these injuries and they can be better explored by a technical conditions strengthened.

BACKGROUND Cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD) is a rare (1: 1 000 000) autosomal dominant congenital skeletal dysplasia characterized by widely patent calvarial sutures, clavicular hypoplasia, supernumerary teeth, and short stature. Only a minority of the cases are diagnosed early after birth. We present another case of proven CCD presenting with typical neonatal phenotype to promote awareness of this rare disorder.

Purpose: The escalating number of endoscopic skull base procedures necessitates exploring additional materials to reduce postoperative cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks in revision or staged surgeries. This study evaluates the effectiveness of reused nasoseptal flaps (NSFs) in such clinical scenarios.
Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on patients who previously underwent surgery involving NSFs and later had revision or secondary skull base surgeries via endoscopic endonasal approaches (EEAs) at a tertiary medical center.

Purpose: Pituitary adenomas, despite their histologically benign nature, can severely impact patients' quality of life due to hormone hypersecretion. Invasion of the medial wall of the cavernous sinus (MWCS) by these tumors complicates surgical outcomes, lowering biochemical remission rates and increasing recurrence. This study aims to share our institutional experience with the selective resection of the MWCS in endoscopic pituitary surgery.

Introduction: This study aimed to assess the precision of an open-source, clinician-trained, and user-friendly convolutional neural network-based model for automatically segmenting the mandible.
Methods: A total of 55 cone-beam computed tomography scans that met the inclusion criteria were collected and divided into test and training groups. The MONAI (Medical Open Network for Artificial Intelligence) Label active learning tool extension was used to train the automatic model.

A potential two-way passage of cells and substances between the brain and skull bone marrow may open for new insights into neurological disease. The arachnoid membrane was traditionally considered to restrict cells and larger molecules in CSF from entering the dura and bone marrow directly. However, new data on exchange between brain and skull bone marrow have recently emerged.
