Context: Anemia is a medical condition resulting from a reduction in the number of red blood cells below the reference range. It is a major public health problem, particularly among adolescents, as it can have negative effects on cognitive performance, growth and reproduction. This study aims to assess the determinants of anemia among adolescents in schools in the city of Douala.

Maintaining functional independence and minimizing disability among older adults living in the community is paramount for mitigating rising care demands. Our study focused on shopping as a critical instrumental activity of daily living (ADL) to explore the association between shopping assistance and functional decline among older individuals receiving support through long-term care insurance (LTCI). This retrospective, cross-sectional study included 6202 participants aged >65 years living in a Japanese regional town receiving LTCI support, suggesting that they required assistance with local community life.

Tissue-resident memory T (TRM) cells are populations which settle down in non-lymphoid tissues instead of returning to secondary lymph organs after the antigen presentation. These cells can provide rapid on-site immune protection as well as long-term tissue damage. It is reported that TRM cells from small intestine and colon exhibited distinctive patterns of cytokine and granzyme expression along with substantial transcriptional and functional heterogeneity.

To understand the symptoms of diarrhea of residents in Tianjin and their willingness to vaccinate, to provide reference for health education, prevention and control of infectious diarrhea. Cross-sectional study design was adopted. From September to December 2023, a questionnaire survey was conducted among some residents as subjects in Nankai District, Beichen District, Baodi District and Binhai Area of Tianjin by multistage stratified cluster random sampling,to collect information such as sociodemographic characteristics, diarrhea symptoms and vaccination intention.
