Daclizumab, a humanized MoAB to IL-2Ra, has been found to be safe and effective in adults with refractory GvHD; however, data in children are limited. The aim of this prospective study was to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of daclizumab in children with steroid-refractory GI aGvHD. This study included 13 children who developed steroid-refractory GI GvHD between 2007 and 2009. When first-line treatment failed, daclizumab was given in a regimen of 1 mg/kg intravenously and then repeated on a 10- to 14-day interval for maximum five doses if necessary. Daclizumab was well tolerated, but infections were common. Ten patients responded to daclizumab completely, one patient responded partially, and two patients failed to respond. With a median follow-up of 630 days, 10 patients were alive and free of severe infections, but among them, four patients were suffering from cGvHD. Of the three remaining patients, one died because of bacterial meningitis, and the other two patients died because of severe refractory GI GvHD. This long-term evaluation showed that daclizumab could be an effective and relatively safe treatment in most of the pediatric patients with severe steroid-refractory GI GvHD.

Aging populations are susceptible to climate change due to physiological factors and comorbidities. Most relevant studies reported the effect of temperature on cardiovascular disease (CVD)-related mortality in aging populations. However, the combined effects of temperature and humidity on CVD-related mortality remain unclear.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility of aortoiliac CT-Angiography (CTA) using dual-source photon-counting detector (PCD)-CT with minimal iodine dose.
Methods: This IRB-approved, single-center prospective study enrolled patients with indications for aortoiliac CTA from December 2022 to March 2023. All scans were performed using a first-generation dual-source PCD-CT.

Purpose: This head-to-head comparative meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the comparative diagnostic efficacy of [F]FDG PET/CT and dynamic contrast-enhanced CT(DCE-CT) for the differentiation between malignant and benign pulmonary nodules.
Methods: An extensive search was conducted in the PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science to identify available publications up to March 23, 2024. Studies were included if they evaluated the diagnostic efficacy of [F]FDG PET/CT and DCE-CT for the characterization of pulmonary nodules.

Background: Intraoperative ultrasound-guided breast-conserving surgery guarantees real-time direct visualization of tumor and resection margins. We compared surgical, oncologic, and cosmetic outcomes between intraoperative ultrasound-guided breast-conserving surgery and traditional (palpation- or wire-guided) surgery across all breast cancer lesion types.
Methods: This prospective observational cohort study was conducted at the Veneto Institute of Oncology between January 2021 and October 2022.
Objective: The oxidative balance score (OBS) has emerged as a novel marker for assessing oxidative stress status. This study aimed to investigate the association of OBS with systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), all-cause, and cardiovascular disease mortality in hypertensive patients.
Methods: We conducted an analysis of data from 7602 hypertensive patients from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005-2018.
