Unlabelled: Posturography has been used in the evaluation of patients with vestibular disorders.
Aim: To evaluate balance control with the Balance Rehabilitation Unit (BRU™) posturography in patients with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.
Study Design: Prospective case-control.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional controlled study was carried out in 45 patients with BPPV, and a homogeneous control group consisting of 45 healthy individuals. Patients were submitted to a balance function evaluation by means of the Balance Rehabilitation Unit (BRU™) posturography.
Results: The mean values of the ellipse area and the sway velocity in a firm surface and saccadic stimulation (p = 0.060).
Conclusion: The Balance Rehabilitation Unit (BRU™) posturography enables to identify postural control abnormalities in patients with BPPV.

Cochlear implantation (CI) is currently recognized as the most effective treatment for severe to profound sensorineural deafness and is considered one of the most successful neural prostheses. Since its inception in 1961, cochlear implantation has expanded its range of applications to encompass younger newborns, older people, and individuals with unilateral hearing loss. In addition, it has improved its surgical methods to minimize the occurrence of complications.

Background Declines in foot somatosensory function can negatively impact balance and daily activities, particularly in older adults and individuals with neurological conditions. Despite this, effective physical therapeutic interventions to improve foot sensory function are limited. This study assessed the effects of targeted foot somatosensory training on plantar sensory function in healthy young adults.

Background: Endoscopic resection (ER) and laparoscopic resection (LR) have been widely used for the treatment of non-metastatic gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (gGISTs) (2-5 cm), but there are no selection criteria for their application.
Aim: To provide a reference for the development of standardized treatment strategies for gGISTs.
Methods: Clinical baseline characteristics, histopathological results, and short-term and long-term outcomes of patients who treated with ER or LR for gGISTs of 2-5 cm in Taizhou Hospital of Zhejiang Province from January 2014 to August 2022 were retrospectively reviewed.

Background/aim: Syndesmophyte formation appears to be site-specific in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and new bone formation seems to occur in regions of microtrauma that are prone to tensile forces. Pelvic and spinal parameters are unique for each individual. Pelvic tilt and sacral slope are important anatomical features that compensate in harmony in keeping the sagittal balance.

The study aimed to determine if virtual reality (VR) games could enhance neuromuscular control and improve anticipatory and compensatory strategies in ball-kicking for soccer players. It was a single-blind randomized clinical trial involving 32 male soccer players with chronic ankle instability. Participants were divided into two groups: VR games and balance training.
