The action and devices of rapid Singlepath (Merck KGaA) tests are considered. The Singlepath tests are used for the accelerated detection of pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp., Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157) in the raw products and foodstuff. The tests as compared to conventional methods showed a high similarity of results in identifying Salmonella in raw meat material. The immunochromatographic test requires no equipment and it is characterized by simple sample preparation and high reliability. The tests are also effectively used for the rapid identification of pathogenic bacteria. The introduction of the rapid Singlepath tests reduces the time of analysis to 24-48 hours. The Singlepath tests are officially recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for practical application.

This article reports a two-stage differential structure power amplifier based on a 130 nm SiGe process operating at 77 GHz. By introducing a tunable capacitor for amplitude and phase balance at the center tap of the secondary coil of the traditional Marchand balun, the balun achieves amplitude imbalance less than 0.5 dB and phase imbalance less than 1 degree within the operating frequency range of 70-85 GHz, which enables the power amplifier to exhibit comparable output power over a wide operating frequency band.

A laser-illuminated differential image motion monitor (DIMM) is presented that is able to measure the atmospheric coherence length along horizontal ground paths. This is accomplished by implementing a mono-static setup in which the transmitter and receiver are co-located and transmit to a retroreflective target. The impact of propagating along a folded path through the same volume of turbulent atmosphere is investigated in detail and the overall impact to angle-of-arrival measurements described.
