The objective of this paper was to identify barriers to successful program completion faced by underrepresented minority nursing students. This paper reveals that minority nursing student's face multiple barriers to success including lack of financial support, inadequate emotional and moral support, as well as insufficient academic advising, program mentoring, technical support, and professional socialization. An additional theme-a resolve to succeed in spite of the identified barriers-was identified. This body of literature focuses solely on successful minority students' experiences, revealing a significant gap in the research. The findings of this paper highlight the need to create and maintain nursing programs capable of aggressively supporting minority student needs. Recommendations for future research are included.

Purpose: This observational cohort study aimed to identify predictive factors associated with pain-related quality of recovery among patients undergoing elective gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.
Patients And Methods: This study involved a secondary analysis of the data collected from five hospitals across all healthcare regions in Norway to validate the Norwegian version of the Quality of Recovery-15 (QoR-15NO). The sample consisted of 268 adult patients who underwent elective gastrointestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery between September 2021 and May 2022.

Background: Ambient air pollution, detrimental built and social environments, social isolation (SI), low socioeconomic status (SES), and rural (versus urban) residence have been associated with cognitive decline and risk of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). Background: Improving adherence to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) via digital health interventions (DHIs) for young sexual and gender minority men who have sex with men (YSGMMSM) is promising for reducing the HIV burden. Measuring and achieving effective engagement (sufficient to solicit PrEP adherence) in YSGMMSM is challenging.
Objective: This study is a secondary analysis of the primary efficacy randomized controlled trial (RCT) of Prepared, Protected, Empowered (P3), a digital PrEP adherence intervention that used causal mediation to quantify whether and to what extent intrapersonal behavioral, mental health, and sociodemographic measures were related to effective engagement for PrEP adherence in YSGMMSM.
