Simultaneous laceration of both major nerves with flexor tendons at the wrist is a combination injury familiar to any hand surgeon, which has received scant attention in the English-language literature. The causes and pattern of injury in twenty-six patients treated for this condition over a 10-year period were reviewed. Intensive reassessment of eight of these patients revealed good restoration of hand mobility and strength from the repair of tendons, but the results of nerve repair were less reliable. Tests of hand function indicated that the majority had compensated well for their impairments and seven of the eight had returned to full employment.

Objective: To analyze the concept of sexual dysfunction in postpartum women and identify their essential attributes, antecedents, and effects.
Method: Concept analysis based on a framework by Walker and Avant, elaborated in eight stages, which were: concept selection; identification of the use of the concept; determination of essential attributes; construction of the model case; additional case; identification of antecedents and effects; and definition of empirical references. Furthermore, an integrative review was carried out simultaneously, with a view to supporting the analysis of the concept.

Background: On-pump beating coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a procedure that uses cardiopulmonary bypass to maintain circulation and it is a useful technique for CABG in patients with severely impaired cardiac function. Here, we report a case of left atrial rupture that occurred during CABG. Reports of left atrial injury are rare, and there have been no previous reports of such cases associated with on-pump beating CABG.
