Postcards, as 'travelling communication devices', have been identified as excellent tools for their ability to collapse 'the field' in a new, visually experiential way. Though often presented as a (post)colonial medium that has exoticized 'the other', they may also be able to give snapshots of diverse biographies otherwise silenced, and can therefore be utilised as a form of collaborative ethnography. This paper analyses postcards sent from Venezuelans living in Bogota during the pandemic.

Recently, it has been shown that protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) dysfunction was common in many cancer types and was mediated by various inactivation mechanisms. Although many research studies observed antitumor effect of propolis extracts in various types of cancer, the mechanism of effect are still obscure. In this study, we investigated the effect of propolis on PPP2R1A expression and its relationship with apoptosis in the SW-620 (colorectal cancer), DU-145 and PC-3 (prostate cancer), and MCF-7 (breast cancer) cell lines, with WI-38 (healthy fibroblast) cells serving as the control.

The cancers of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract have become a common diagnosis worldwide contributing to a large number of mortalities. Though potentially curable they are mostly fatal due to late diagnosis and lack of accurate diagnostic markers. microRNA, micromanagers of gene expression have been associated to have distinct roles as oncogenes or tumour suppressors in several cancers including GI cancers.

Skin flap transplantation is a conventional wound repair method in plastic and reconstructive surgery, but infection and ischemia are common complications. Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy has shown promise for various medical problems, including wound repair processes, due to its capability to accelerate angiogenesis and relieve inflammation. This study investigated the effect of red and blue light on the survival of random skin flaps in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected Sprague Dawley (SD) rats.

Significance: In the last years, time-resolved near-infrared spectroscopy (TD-NIRS) has gained increasing interest as a tool for studying tissue spectroscopy with commercial devices. Although it provides much more information than its continuous wave counterpart, accurate models interpreting the measured raw data in real time are still lacking.
Aim: We introduce an analytical model that can be integrated and used in TD-NIRS data processing software and toolkits in real time.
