Perfusion computed tomography (CT) allows to evaluate brain perfusion and provides additional information about local cerebral hemodynamics in stroke patients. Twenty-seven patients underwent CT-perfusion in the early acute phase of ischemic stroke. Significant differences between ischemic lesion and contralateral hemisphere on CBF and MTT scans during the first 3 hours after stroke were revealed. In the following 24 h, the differences were seen in all perfusion parameters. CT-perfusion allows to reveal perfusion parameters associated with stroke severity and outcome that is relevant for prescription of reperfusion treatment beyond the boundaries of 3-4.5h "therapeutic window".

Unlabelled: Cytarabine (CTR) is a hydrophilic anticancer drug used to treat leukemia. It suffers from poor permeability and intestinal metabolism, diminishing its oral bioavailability.
Background/objectives: The objective was to develop and evaluate niosomes and bilosomes for enhanced intestinal absorption; hence, oral bioavailability.

Cardio-renal syndrome (CRS) is a complex condition involving bidirectional dysfunction of the heart and kidneys, in which the failure of one organ exacerbates failure in the other. Traditional pharmacologic treatments are often insufficient to manage the hemodynamic and neurohormonal abnormalities underlying CRS, especially in cases resistant to standard therapies. Device-based therapies have emerged as a promising adjunct or alternative approach, offering targeted intervention to relieve congestion, improve renal perfusion, and modulate hemodynamics.

Severe COVID-19 is associated with a generalized inflammatory response leading to peripheral and organ perfusion disorders. : This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of peripheral and organ perfusion assessments in the prediction of prognosis and mortality in patients with severe COVID-19. : In the first 48 h of hospitalization, peripheral perfusion (saturation, Finger Infrared Thermography-FIT; Capillary Refill Time-CRT), and the color Doppler renal cortex perfusion (RCP) were estimated in a group of 102 severe COVID-19 patients.

In patients with acute brain injury (ABI), optimizing cerebral perfusion parameters relies on multimodal monitoring. This include data from systemic monitoring-mean arterial pressure (MAP), arterial carbon dioxide tension (PaCO), arterial oxygen saturation (SaO), hemoglobin levels (Hb), and temperature-as well as neurological monitoring-intracranial pressure (ICP), cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP), and transcranial Doppler (TCD) velocities. We hypothesized that these parameters alone were not sufficient to assess the risk of cerebral ischemia.
