This study aimed to profile metabolites from five Trichoderma strains and assess their cytotoxic and pharmacological activities, particularly targeting oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). UHPLC-TOF-MS analysis revealed the presence of 25 compounds, including heptelidic acid, viridiol isomers, and sorbicillinol from the different Trichoderma extracts. Pharmacokinetic analysis showed moderate permeability and low interaction with P-glycoprotein, suggesting good drug absorption with minimal interference in cellular uptake.

Sensitisation to thermotolerant fungi such as Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans which can colonise the airways is associated with poor lung function in children with asthma. Dysbiosis of bacteria and fungi in the airway microbiome has been reported between health and asthma but has yet to be characterised for fungal sensitised asthmatic children. We investigated if microbial diversity of the airways is altered in fungal sensitised school-age asthmatic children.

Background And Objective: Radiosurgery can serve as a primary, adjuvant, or salvage treatment modality for cavernous sinus tumors (CST), providing high tumor control. However, particularly with cavernous sinus expansion, there may be insufficient distance from the optic apparatus to perform radiosurgery safely. The internal carotid artery adjacent to the distal dural ring (ICAddr), when enhancing similarly to the CST, can be difficult to delineate, and can lead to over-contouring of target volume near the optic nerve and therefore increasing the risk of radiation-induced optic toxicity.

Background: HA14-1 is a small-molecule, stable B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) antagonist that promotes apoptosis in malignant cells through an incompletely-defined mechanism of action. Bcl-2 and related anti-apoptotic proteins, such as B-cell lymphoma-extra-large [Bcl-XL]), are predominantly localized to the outer mitochondrial membrane, where they regulate cell death pathways. However, the notably short half-life of HA14-1 limits its potential therapeutic application.

Background: The demand for sustainable energy solutions has increased interest in natural microalgal dyes as photosensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). This study addresses the critical issue of maximizing dye integrity and yield during extraction, particularly the degradation that occurs at temperatures above 60 °C. Our investigation of dye extraction from Asterarcys quadricellulare and Scenedesmus sp.
