Hyalinising clear cell carcinoma (HCCC) is an infrequent distinct histological subtype of clear cell adenocarcinoma encountered in minor salivary glands which can be confused with a variety of clear cell-rich tumours. The entity of HCCC should be considered in patients presenting with well-circumscribed longstanding nodular enlargement without any other significant abnormality. HCCC is often difficult to diagnose due to its unusual presentation. This report presents a male patient who reported with a complaint of 2 month history of a large swelling on the tongue. The clinical, radiological, histological and immunohistochemical findings, confirmed the diagnosis of HCCC.

Purpose: Recurrent diffuse-type tenosynovial giant cell tumor: Clinical presentation, Diagnosis, and Management.
Background: Tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT), is a neoplasm arising from synovial joints, bursae, or tendon sheaths. The initial clinical symptoms are vague and non-diagnostic.
Background: High levels of catecholamines are cardiotoxic and associated with stress-induced cardiomyopathies. Septic patients are routinely exposed to endogenously released and exogenously administered catecholamines, which may alter cardiac function and perfusion causing ischemia. Early during human septic shock, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) decreases but normalizes in survivors over 7-10 days.

Introduction: Accurate platelet (PLT) counting is crucial for disease diagnosis and treatment, especially under the condition of thrombocytopenia and platelet transfusion. A few PLT counting approaches have been established including impedance and fluorescent methods. The impedance PLT counting (PLT-I) approach could be interfered by small non-PLT particles in the blood, such as RBC/WBC fragments, microcytes, bacteria, and cryoglobulins.
