Objective: To establish the quality standard for carbonizing drug characteristic of ginger carbon.
Method: Gingers and different carbonized gingers were compared by the absorption of pigment, tannin content, pH, mouth's coagulation time and bleeding time.
Result: The study resulted in the recommended carbonizing standard that the absorption capacity shall not be less than 7.50 mg x g(-1) for methylene blue, the tannin content shall not be less than 2.103 mg x g(-1), the pH shall be (5.50 +/- 0.10), and coagulation time and bleeding time shall be the shorter the better.
Conclusion: The established assessment standard for carbonizing drug characteristic of ginger carbon is reasonable, easily operated and feasible.

A new methodology is presented for the rapid, specific, and sensitive detection of irinotecan (CPT-11), a chemotherapeutic agent utilized in the treatment of cancer, along with its metabolically active derivative, SN-38, via laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LDI MS). The method includes the detection of camptothecin (CPT), which can be utilized as an internal standard for the quantitative assessment of both CPT-11 and SN-38 in mouse serum. The approach utilizes a plasmonic two-dimensional (2D) black phosphorus nanosheet (BPN)-gold nanomatrix (BP@Au) in LDI MS.

Laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the gold standard for treating symptomatic cholelithiasis due to its minimally invasive nature and faster recovery times compared to traditional open surgery, but it is not without risks. A key component of this procedure is the creation of pneumoperitoneum. This is achieved by insufflating the abdomen with carbon dioxide (CO2).

Aim To evaluate and compare the fracture toughness and flexural strength of interim fixed partial dentures reinforced with carbon, glass, and Kevlar nanofibers. Materials and methods This study explored the effect of reinforcing poly methyl methacrylate with carbon, glass, and Kevlar fibers on its fracture toughness and flexural strength. A total of 120 samples were prepared, divided into two groups of 60 samples each, with one group tested for fracture toughness and the other for flexural strength.

Poplar (Populus simoni) plantations are crucial in the sandy regions of western Liaoning, serving key roles in wind protection, sand stabilization, soil moisture regulation, and carbon sequestration. However, challenges such as suboptimal stand quality and limited ecological benefits persist. This study aims to elucidate the growth dynamics of poplar plantations and their impact on soil moisture content and soil carbon content in this region.

Although the rapid development of new energy vehicles (NEV) has contributed greatly to China's carbon emission reduction, it has also brought about a problem that needs to be solved, namely the effective recycling of waste batteries. Existing recycling of waste batteries is plagued by a series of problems such as a single recycling channel, inconsistent recycling standards, lack of recycling technology, rampant irregular recycling enterprises, and low consumer participation. Meanwhile, due to the immaturity of the recycling market, the lack of clarity of existing regulations, and the lack of supervision and management, the above problems are becoming more and more serious.
