Aims: Allogeneic stem cell therapy is more logistically suitable compared with autologous cell therapy for large-scale patient treatment. We aim to investigate the clinical safety and efficacy profile of the allogeneic adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stromal cell product (CSCC_ASC) as an add-on therapy in patients with chronic non-ischaemic heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (HFrEF) < 40%.
Methods And Results: This is a single-centre investigator-initiated randomized phase I/II study with direct intra-myocardial injections of 100 million allogeneic CSCC_ASC.

Echocardiography-guided percutaneous intramyocardial septal radiofrequency ablation (PIMSRA, Liwen procedure) is a novel treatment option for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). The safety and feasibility of using this procedure for cryoablation are unknown. We aimed to investigate the feasibility and safety of echocardiography-guided percutaneous intramyocardial septal cryoablation (PIMSCA) for septal thickness reduction in a canine model.

Background: Myocardial infarction (MI) is one of the most lethal cardiovascular diseases. The loss of cardiomyocytes and the degradation of the extracellular matrix leads to high ventricular wall stress, which further drives the pathological thinning of the ventricular wall during MI. Injecting biomaterials to thicken the infarct ventricular wall provides mechanical support, thereby inhibiting the continued expansion of the heart.

We describe a 45-year-old patient who was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) after the aortic valve replacement surgery. Enlarged left atria, thickened ventricular septum, left ventricular outflow tract stenosis, moderate mitral regurgitation and mild tricuspid regurgitation in the echocardiography were found. We offered the patient the new minimally invasive treatment modality: percutaneous intra-myocardial septal radiofrequency ablation (PIMSRA).
