This study aimed to conduct a comparative epidemiological survey of uveitis across various healthcare settings and elucidate the clinical characteristics. We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in the Ube-City medical region in Yamaguchi prefecture and recruited 268 patients from a university hospital (151 patients), municipal hospitals (51 patients), and private eye clinics (58 patients). Medical records of patients newly diagnosed with uveitis between January 2018 and December 2019 in the institutes were included, reviewed, and compared.

Purpose: To determine whether the outer nuclear layer (ONL) could serve as a quantitative biomarker for photoreceptor function in pachychoroid pigment epitheliopathy (PPE) and pachychoroid neovasculopathy (PNV). Additionally, to assess the impact of pachychoroid features, the presence of neovascularization, and a history of exudation on photoreceptor function.
Methods: One hundred and one eyes with pachychoroid features and thirty-four normal control eyes were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Eye tumors are moving targets, but there have been no reports of radiation therapy with real-time monitoring.
Case: A 54-year-old woman with metastatic breast cancer was referred for treatment of diplopia due to choroidal metastasis after hippocampal avoiding whole brain radiotherapy. Since visual acuity was preserved and long-term survival was expected, real-time MRI-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy (36 Gy in 20 fractions) was performed.
