Thoracic aortic aneurysms (TAAs) can be life-threatening but often remain undiagnosed until a complication occurs or the disease is discovered incidentally on imaging studies performed for other purposes. Multidetector-row computed tomography angiography has emerged as a useful modality for aortic imaging and allows a comprehensive evaluation of TAAs in terms of their morphology, extent, amount of thrombus, relationship to adjacent structures, and signs of acute or impending rupture. This article reviews the normal anatomy of the thoracic aorta, etiology of TAAs, and the spectrum of their imaging appearance. Technical considerations for performing and interpreting multidetector-row computed tomography angiography of the thoracic aorta will be presented along with the role this modality plays in identifying the various complications associated with TAAs.

A 5 yr old chihuahua presented to our clinic with a complaint of decreased activity and focal seizures. Based on the findings of MRI and computed tomography, a primary brain tumor originating from the right frontal lobe region was suspected. Surgical resection was performed, and a diagnosis of histiocytic sarcoma was made via histopathological examination and immunohistochemical staining.

Background: Cases of congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDGs) are rare, and the occurrence of hemorrhagic infarction is also rare. The etiology is unclear.
Observations: A 3-year-old Asian boy with CDG type 1A was hospitalized with pneumonia.

Objectives: The aims of the study are to predict lung function impairment in patients with connective tissue disease (CTD)-associated interstitial lung disease (ILD) through computed tomography (CT) quantitative analysis parameters based on CT deep learning model and density threshold method and to assess the severity of the disease in patients with CTD-ILD.
Methods: We retrospectively collected chest high-resolution CT images and pulmonary function test results from 105 patients with CTD-ILD between January 2021 and December 2023 (patients staged according to the gender-age-physiology [GAP] system), including 46 males and 59 females, with a median age of 64 years. Additionally, we selected 80 healthy controls (HCs) with matched sex and age, who showed no abnormalities in their chest high-resolution CT.

Purpose: Cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA) has significantly advanced the visualization of cardiac structures, particularly valves. We assessed the diagnostic performance of CCTA in diagnosing the most common disorders affecting the aortic valves requiring surgery-papillary fibroelastoma, infective endocarditis, and degeneration.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients who underwent aortic valve resection between 2016 and 2023 and had a preceding CCTA.

Objectives: The aim of the study is to investigate the ability of preoperative CT (Computed Tomography)-based radiomics signature to predict microvascular invasion (MVI) of intrahepatic mass-forming cholangiocarcinoma (IMCC) and develop radiomics-based prediction models.
Materials And Methods: Preoperative clinical data, basic CT features, and radiomics features of 121 IMCC patients (44 with MVI and 77 without MVI) were retrospectively reviewed. The loading and display of CT images, delineation of the volume of interest, and feature extraction were performed using 3D Slicer.
