Polyploidy plays an important role in the evolution of plant genomes. To enable the investigation of the polyploidy events within the genus Anemone, we developed eighteen microsatellite markers from the hexaploid species A. amurensis (Ranunculaceae), and tested their transferability in five closely related species. The number of total alleles (N(A)) for each resulting locus varied from one to eight. The polymorphism information content (PIC) and Nei's genetic diversity (N(GD)) for these microsatellites ranged from 0.00 to 0.71 and 0.00 to 0.91, respectively. For each population, the N(A) was one to seven, and the values of PIC and N(GD) varied from 0.00 to 0.84 and 0.00 to 0.95, respectively. In addition, most of these microsatellites can be amplified successfully in the congeneric species. These microsatellite primers provide us an opportunity to study the polyploid evolution in the genus Anemone.

In this research, we analyzed Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD), Inter Simple Sequence Repeats (ISSR) and Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) markers to evaluate the genetic diversity of eighteen different onion genotypes with various resistant levels to FOC. Background: Microsatellite instability-high (MSI-high) tumors comprise ~15% of sporadic colorectal cancers (CRC) and are associated with elevated T cell infiltration. However, the universality of this response across T cell subtypes with distinct functions is unknown.
Methods: Including 1,236 CRC tumors from three observational studies, we conducted T cell profiling using a customized 9-plex (CD3, CD4, CD8, CD45RA, CD45RO, FOXP3, KRT, MKI67, and DAPI) multispectral immunofluorescence assay.

Microsatellites are present in mitochondria, chloroplast, and nuclear DNA, but nuclear microsatellites are more useful genetic tools than those in plastids or mitochondria. Plastid and mitochondrial microsatellites have been identified in the model plant (liverwort), but no laboratory has published information on nuclear microsatellite loci. The aim of this study was to detect novel nuclear markers in the most commonly employed liverwort species, design PCR primers that would allow amplification, and characterize the subsequently generated loci.

Abies guatemalensis Rehder, an endangered conifer endemic to Central American highlands, is ecologically vital in upper montane forests. It faces threats from habitat fragmentation, unsustainable logging, and illegal Christmas tree harvesting. While previous genetic studies on mature trees from eighteen populations showed high within-population diversity and limited among-population differentiation, the genetic impact of recent anthropogenic pressures on younger generations has yet to be discovered.

The objective of the present study was to characterize the molecular features of endometrial carcinomas with ambiguous histology. Eighteen carcinomas that could not be conclusively typed based on morphology and immunohistochemistry underwent analysis of mismatch repair (MMR) status, microsatellite status, and whole-exome sequencing. None of the tumors had pathogenic POLE mutation.
