The paper is devoted to comparing laryngoscopy findings and the results of x-ray investigation in its time course (prior to, during and after radiation therapy) in 65 laryngeal cancer patients. Both methods are mutually complementary, and thorough comparison of their results helped to overcome diagnostic difficulties. The basal point and spreading of exophytic supralaryngeal tumors can be determined by x-ray only. The greatest diagnostic difficulties occur after therapy to differentiate between postradiation mucosal edema and a tumor relapse.
