Rituximab has provided a revolutionary contribution to the treatment of B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL). A high prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection has been described in B-cell NHL patients. Cases of liver dysfunction in HCV-positive patients have been reported with Rituximab-containing regimens. In this paper we review the recent data regarding the effects of Rituximab in NHL patients with HCV infection. We also added a section devoted to improving communication between oncohaematologists and hepatologists. Furthermore, we propose a common methodological ground to study hepatic toxicity emerging during chemotherapy.

Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), the most common non-Hodgkin's lymphoma subtype, relapses or becomes refractory (R/R) in 40% of cases after initial treatment. Among the second-line treatments for these patients is CAR T-cell therapy, which is considered the gold standard and treatment better than SCT. For these patients, polatuzumab vedotin in combination with bendamustine and rituximab (Pola-BR) is a novel treatment.

Department of Hematology and Oncology, Geriatric Medical Center, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital at Linkou and College of Medicine, Chang Gung University, 5 Fu-Hsing Street, Kwei-Shan Shiang, Taoyuan, Taiwan.

Purpose: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is one of the most common and aggressive forms of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the abbreviated Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (aCGA) in assessing frailty and predicting clinical outcomes in elderly patients with DLBCL.

Methods: A total of 91 patients aged ≥ 65 years with newly diagnosed DLBCL and who received immunochemotherapy at a single medical center in Taiwan between August 2019 and December 2022 were prospectively enrolled.

Background: Resistance to existing therapies is a major cause of treatment failure in patients with refractory and relapsed B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (r/r B-NHL). Therapy-induced senescence (TIS) is one of the most important mechanisms of drug resistance.

Methods: This study used single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze doxorubicin-induced senescent B-NHL cells.

Childhood extranodal B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas are often caused by Burkitt's lymphoma (BL). Treatment usually involves intensive polychemotherapy, and recent prospective trials show significantly improved outcomes. Surgery primarily involves conducting biopsies; ablative interventions are not recommended.

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, characterized by its aggressive nature and heterogeneity. Despite significant advances in understanding DLBCL pathogenesis, there is still a need to elucidate the intricate mechanisms involved in disease progression and identify novel therapeutic targets. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), including exosomes and microvesicles, have emerged as crucial mediators of intercellular communication in various physiological and pathological processes, including cancer.
