Eight new species of Hydroptilidae (Trichoptera) from Venezuela are described: Acostatrichia digitatasp. n., Hydroptila cressaesp. n., Metrichia botrychionsp. n., Ochrotrichia spirasp. n., Oxyethira bettyaesp. n., Oxyethira quiramaesp. n., Oxyethira reduncasp. n., and Rhyacopsyche shortisp. n.New country records for Venezuela of 2 additional species, Neotrichia feolai Santos & Nessimian, 2009 and Oxyethira picita Harris & Davenport, 1999, are also provided. Illustrations of male genitalia are provided with each description.

Two new species of Metrichia from Roraima State, Brazil, are described and illustrated, representing additional records of Metrichia from the Brazilian Amazon biome. The male of Metrichia iracema sp nov. is characterized by inferior appendages each elongate, with an acute apical projection and a deep C-shaped notch, tergum X apex slightly incised, and dorsal hook with a longer dorsal branch extending anterad.

The majority of these were collected during surveys of Panama's national parks and protected areas during 2017 and 2018, employing both UV and Malaise traps. The new species include: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , and In total, 506 Trichoptera species are now recorded for the Republic of Panama, distributed among 15 families and 56 genera.
