Further research is needed to help improve both the standard of care and the outcome for patients with treatment-resistant depression. A particularly critical evidence gap exists with respect to whether pharmacological or non-pharmacological augmentation is superior to antidepressant switch, or vice-versa. The objective of this study was to compare the effectiveness of augmentation with aripiprazole or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation versus switching to the antidepressant venlafaxine XR (or duloxetine for those not eligible to receive venlafaxine) for treatment-resistant depression.

B7-H3 is a transmembrane receptor highly prevalent on malignant cells and plays an important role in adaptive immunity that is not fully elucidated. Targeted B7-H3 inhibitors, including antibody-drug conjugates, radioimmunotherapy, and monoclonal antibodies, are a new class of antineoplastic agents showing promising preliminary clinical efficacy, observed with several of these agents against multiple tumor types. Particularly promising treatments are enoblituzumab for prostate cancer, I-omburtamab for central nervous system malignancies, and HS-20093 for small-cell lung cancer but further studies are warranted.

Woolly mammoths in mainland Alaska overlapped with the region's first people for at least a millennium. However, it is unclear how mammoths used the space shared with people. Here, we use detailed isotopic analyses of a female mammoth tusk found in a 14,000-year-old archaeological site to show that she moved ~1000 kilometers from northwestern Canada to inhabit an area with the highest density of early archaeological sites in interior Alaska until her death.
