Controlled waveform magnets (CWMs) are a class of pulsed magnets whose pulse shape with time can be programmed by the user. With a CWM, the user gains control not only over the magnitude of the field but also over its rate of change. In this work we present a table-top CWM, driven by a capacitor bank, capable of producing virtually any user-shaped magnetic field waveform up to 10 tesla. Insulated gate bipolar transistor chips have been paralleled to form the high current switch and paralleled chips of SiC Schottky diodes form the crowbar diode module. Sample controlled waveforms including flat-tops up to 10 tesla and some triangular magnetic field pulses have been successfully generated for 10-20 ms with a ripple <1%.

We present the first controlled-environment measurements of the optical path-length change response of telecommunication submarine cables to active seismic and acoustic waves. We perform the comparison among integrated (optical interferometry) and distributed (distributed acoustic sensing, DAS) fibre measurements and ground truth data acquired by 58 geophones, 20 three-axis seismometers and 7 microphones. The comparison between different seismic acquisition methods is an essential step towards full validation and calibration of the data acquired using novel cable-based sensing techniques.

This paper systematically reviews randomized controlled trials to analyze the efficacy of SCS, as well as Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) Stimulation in treating CRPS, focusing on its long-term effectiveness.
Methods: This systematic review focused exclusively on randomized controlled trials to assess a primary outcome of improvement in pain symptoms in patients diagnosed with CRPS.

The dispersion of structural waves, where wave speed varies with frequency, introduces significant challenges in accurately localizing occupants in a building based on vibrations caused by their movements. This study presents a novel multi-sensor vibro-localization technique that accounts for dispersion effects, enhancing the accuracy and robustness of occupant localization.
