Background: Major bleedings following coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) have significant implications on outcomes in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. Owing fears of fatal bleedings in case of urgent CABG, current guidelines recommend a cessation of P2Y receptor antagonists (P2Y-RA) before cardiac surgery and opt against routine pre-treatment with a P2Y-RA before coronary angiography (CA). However, sparse information exists outside randomized trials on the frequency of urgent CABG and the consequences of inappropriately long cessation of P2Y-RA treatment in patients presenting with ACS.

Objectives: To evaluate the roles of oxidative balance score (OBS) in staging and mortality risk of cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome (CKM).
Methods: Data of this study were from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 1999-2018. We performed cross-sectional analyses using multinomial logistic regression to investigate the relationship between OBS and CKM staging.

Introduction: The pathognomonic feature of dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is a transient capillary leak syndrome resulting in profound intravascular volume depletion. WHO management guidelines recommend particular parenteral fluid regimens during the critical leakage phase, including synthetic colloid solutions in certain circumstances. We set out to describe the actual fluid management strategies employed in different settings and to investigate relationships with clinical outcomes.

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is a potentially fatal infectious disease if not diagnosed and treated promptly. Typical clinical features include fever, thrombocytopenia, and lymphadenopathy. However, we encountered a case of SFTS in a 60-year-old male who initially did not exhibit these hallmark symptoms.

The development of highly sensitive methods for detecting infectious diseases is crucial for preventing disease spread. In this study, a novel sensing platform for detecting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) pathogens was developed by combining a magnetic metal-organic framework (FeO@MIL-100) with graphene field-effect transistors (GFET). The FeO@MIL-100 magnetic MOF was functionalized with SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies, enabling highly selective pathogen capture in a phosphate-buffered solution.
