Background: The development of a high flow rate arteriovenous fistula (AVF) can expose the patient to development of heart failure due to increased cardiac preload and pulmonary hypertension.
Objectives: AVF flow measurement (Qa) is considered a screening tool for AVF surveillance, aiming to evaluate the access dysfunction and prevent complications, like a non-maturation, suspected stenosis, high-flow AVF, and distal ischemia. In the upper arm AVF, a high Qa may develops, which can expose the patient to the risk of high-output heart failure and ischemia.

Background: Autologous fat (AF) grafting is widely used in plastic surgery and is generally considered a safe and effective procedure. A combined approach utilizing vibration amplification of sound energy at resonance (VASER) to prepare AF grafts with a 4-layer fat grafting technique was explored in this study.
Objectives: To offer a customized solution that accommodates individual anatomical differences.

Autologous arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is preferred in hemodialysis patients. Maintaining its patency is a critical problem. This study aimed to create a nomogram model for predicting 1-year primary patency of AVF.

This review describes the history of vascular access for hemodialysis (HD) over the past 8 decades. Reliable, repeatable vascular access for outpatient HD began in the 1960s with the Quinton-Scribner shunt. This was followed by the autologous Brecia-Cimino radial-cephalic arteriovenous fistula (AVF), which dominated HD vascular access for the next 20 years.

Background: Autologous arteriovenous fistulae (AVFs) are the best type of vascular access in patients with kidney failure. However, the conventional technique has a high failure rate. We performed a randomised controlled trial to investigate whether the no-touch technique has a higher maturation and patency rate than that of the conventional technique for creating AVFs.
