Published: June 2012

Two self-assembled isostructural functionalized metal-organic nanotubes have been synthesized using 5-triazole isophthalic acid (5-TIA) with In(III) and Cd(II). In- and Cd-5TIA possess one-dimensional (1D) nanotubular architecture and show proton conductivity along regular 1D channels, measured as 5.35 × 10(-5) and 3.61 × 10(-3) S cm(-1) respectively.

() is a major pathogenic bacterium responsible for bacterial foodborne diseases, making its rapid, specific, and accurate detection crucial. In this study, we develop a ratiometric biosensor based on the recombinase polymerase amplification-clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR associated protein 12a (RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a) system and Eu-metal-organic framework (Eu-MOF) fluorescent nanomaterials for the high-sensitivity detection of , combining with RPA for efficient isothermal amplification, this sensor enhances specificity and sensitivity by utilizing the target activation of CRISPR/Cas12a. The Eu-MOF serves a dual function, providing stable red fluorescence as a reference signal and adsorbing FAM-labeled probes for fluorescence quenching, forming a dual-signal system that significantly reduces background interference.

Magnetocaloric Effect in 3D Gd(III)-Oxalate Coordination Framework.

Nanomaterials (Basel)

December 2024

Key Laboratory of Structure and Functional Regulation of Hybrid Materials of Ministry of Education, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Institutes of Physical Science and Information Technology, Anhui University, Hefei 230601, China.

Cryogenic magnetic refrigerants based on the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) hold significant potential as substitutes for the expensive and scarce He-3. Gd(III)-based complexes are considered excellent candidates for low-temperature magnetic refrigerants. We have synthesized a series of Ln(III)-based metal-organic framework (MOF) (Ln = Gd/Dy) by the slow release of oxalates in situ from organic ligands (disodium edetate dehydrate (EDTA-2Na) and thiodiglycolic acid).

MOF-derived Carbon-Based Materials for Energy-Related Applications.

Adv Mater

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, College of Chemistry, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, 100029, China.

New carbon-based materials (CMs) are recommended as attractively active materials due to their diverse nanostructures and unique electron transport pathways, demonstrating great potential for highly efficient energy storage applications, electrocatalysis, and beyond. Among these newly reported CMs, metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived CMs have achieved impressive development momentum based on their high specific surface areas, tunable porosity, and flexible structural-functional integration. However, obstacles regarding the integrity of porous structures, the complexity of preparation processes, and the precise control of active components hinder the regulation of precise interface engineering in CMs.

Amino-Acid-Induced Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Octahedral Lanthanide Cage.

Angew Chem Int Ed Engl

January 2025

Zhengzhou University, College of Chemistry, No 100. Kexue Avenue, 450001, Zhengzhou, CHINA.

Chiral metal organic cage compounds with excellent circularly polarized luminescent performance have broad application prospects in many fields. Herein, two lanthanide complexes with luminescent properties in the form of racemic hexagonal octahedral cages were synthesized using a tri (β-diketone) ligand. Eu6(C21H6F15O6)8(H2O)6 exhibited red light emission with high quantum yields of 61%.

Background: Inadequate treatment responses, chemotherapy resistance, significant heterogeneity, and lengthy treatment durations create an urgent need for new pancreatic cancer therapies. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of gemcitabine-loaded nanoparticles enclosed in an organo-metallic framework under ketogenic conditions in inhibiting the growth of MIA-PaCa-2 cells.

Methods: Gemcitabine was encapsulated in Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and its morphology and size distribution were examined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Dynamic light scattering (DLS) with further characterization including FTIR analysis.
