Objective: Studies using ecological momentary assessment (EMA) of activity participation rely on items tapping domains informed by factor analyses based on single time points. Analyses from a single time point focus on differences between participants and provide little insight into how activities cluster together within a person across moments or days. The present study compared the factor structure in activity participation between- and within-persons using an expanded set of momentary activity items in middle and older adulthood.

Anti-NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor encephalitis (ANRE) is a rare autoimmune condition targeting brain receptors, often linked to ovarian tumors in young women. In severe cases, it can lead to status epilepticus, but in sporadic cases, it may progress to super-refractory status epilepticus (SRSE), a dangerous state of continuous or repetitive seizures demanding urgent medical attention that continues or recurs more than 24 hours after the initiation of anesthetic therapy. We present a case report of anti-NMDA receptor limbic encephalitis-triggered SRSE terminated with vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and titrated to high stimulation parameters in the immediate postoperative period.

Increasing pressures on traditional sources of water have accelerated the adoption of water reuse throughout the world. A key consideration for communities pursuing water reuse is understanding the amount of treatment that is needed to ensure adequate human health protection. Several U.

To this end, statistical methods which describe high-dimensional neural time series in terms of low-dimensional latent dynamics have played a fundamental role in characterizing neural systems. Yet, what constitutes a successful method involves two opposing criteria: (1) methods should be expressive enough to capture complex nonlinear dynamics, and (2) they should maintain a notion of interpretability often only warranted by simpler linear models.

Émile Durkheim (1912) argues that art is an essential part of religious life-it 'refreshes a spirit worn down by all that is overburdening in day-to-day labor' (385). For Durkheim, making art in religious contexts is akin to sacred play. We explore how contemporary Christian artists use play, frivolity and experimentation to intentionally, and more often unintentionally, challenge, or at least, reveal various social and theo-political dynamics within their religious communities.
