Background: The purpose of the study was to analyze the appearance of pelvic obliquity before total hip arthroplasty (THA) in adults who have Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease (LCPD) sequelae and its evolution in the first two postoperative years, identifying which factors influence its development.
Methods: The THAs performed between 2012 and 2021 at a single institution in adults who had LCPD during childhood were retrospectively identified. Each case was matched 1:1, based on age at surgery, sex, and body mass index, with a primary THA performed for hip osteoarthritis (primary OA).

Introduction: Combination of Standardized Patient (SP) and Case Based Learning (CBL) is a common method in medical education, but traditional SP (TSP) may not be conducive to students' mastery of basic medical knowledge and the cultivation of clinical thinking. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate SP to optimize SP combined with CBL teaching method.

Unlabelled: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an acquired autoimmune disorder characterized by low platelet counts with increased risk of bleeding. In particular, ITP induced by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has been increasingly reported. Since immunosuppressive regimens in organ transplantation are often the primary cause of increased risk of infection, ITP following solid organ transplantation has occasionally been observed.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with drug-coated balloon (DCB) has been expanding progressively in recent years. Convincing evidence demonstrated the ability of some DCB to promote positive vessel remodeling with potential clinical benefits at follow-up. When PCI with DCB results in suboptimal angiographic results (residual stenosis >30% or type C-F dissection), bailout stenting (BS) implantation is recommended to mitigate the risk of abrupt vessel occlusion or restenosis.
