This paper is concerned with the recovery of temporally coherent estimates of 3D structure and motion of a dynamic scene from a sequence of binocular stereo images. A novel approach is presented based on matching of spatiotemporal quadric elements (stequels) between views, as this primitive encapsulates both spatial and temporal image structure for 3D estimation. Match constraints are developed for bringing stequels into correspondence across binocular views. With correspondence established, temporally coherent disparity estimates are obtained without explicit motion recovery. Further, the matched stequels also will be shown to support direct recovery of scene flow estimates. Extensive algorithmic evaluation with ground truth data incorporated in both local and global correspondence paradigms shows the considerable benefit of using stequels as a matching primitive and its advantages in comparison to alternative methods of enforcing temporal coherence in disparity estimation. Additional experiments document the usefulness of stequel matching for 3D scene flow estimation.

This study aimed to identify critical issues in artisanal bakery and pastry production in Italy that could improve food safety and quality. Fifteen voluntary Italian companies underwent on-site inspections and interviews from 2018 to 2021. The inspection concerned the production site characteristics, processing flows, materials, and personnel to pinpoint potential product contamination and record objective data collection through a 126-question demerit scoring system.

Event cameras, as bio-inspired visual sensors, offer significant advantages in their high dynamic range and high temporal resolution for visual tasks. These capabilities enable efficient and reliable motion estimation even in the most complex scenes. However, these advantages come with certain trade-offs.

In forensic practice, identifying the species of unknown bodily fluid stains can provide assistance in the qualitative analysis and investigation of cases, and vaginal fluid stains, as one of the common bodily fluid stains, are most commonly seen at the scene of sexual assault. At present, the commonly used vaginal peptidase or microscopic detection methods currently have drawbacks such as high false negative rates, poor sensitivity, and high requirements for sample integrity and background color. However, in forensic investigations, the test materials have specificity and scarcity, making it difficult to ensure their quantity and quality.

Aim: Sub30 study is an open-label, prospective, single-arm feasibility study with the primary objective of assessing the logistics, feasibility, and safety of ECPR delivery in a pre-hospital setting for refractory out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients in London, United Kingdom.
Results: Forty-three eligible patients were identified by London Ambulance Service over 27 trial recruitment days during a 13-month study period resulting in the despatch of the pre-hospital ECPR team to 18 patients. Five patients met full criteria and were cannulated for ECPR.

Introduction: Virtual reality (VR) games, propelled by advancements in VR and artificial intelligence technologies, offer a level of realism and interactivity that traditional games cannot match. However, despite their immersive potential, VR games have not yet reached the widespread popularity of their conventional counterparts. While VR can craft the illusion of a parallel reality, users often remain cognizant of the delineation between the virtual and the real.
