Altogether 23 patients examined for secondary tumors at the All-Union Cancer Research Center of the USSR AMS underwent a clinical analysis. The overwhelming majority of the patients (17) were subjected to surgical intervention. Of these, none of the patients developed any postoperative complications or showed progress of chronic lympholeukemia (CLL). No relationship was noted between cytostatic treatment of CLL and origin of second tumors. No correlation was revealed either between the duration of CLL treatment and the incidence of second tumors origin. The authors provide a brief review of the literature on the given problem. Give a summary of the statistics of the CLL incidence in other malignant neoplasms.

The ability of platelets to carry out their hemostatic function can be impaired in a wide range of inherited and acquired conditions: trauma, surgery, inflammation, pre-term birth, sepsis, hematological malignancies, solid tumors, chemotherapy, autoimmune disorders, and many others. Evaluation of this impairment is vitally important for research and clinical purposes. This problem is particularly pronounced in pediatric patients, where these conditions occur frequently, while blood volume and the choice of blood collection methods could be limited.

Risk factor of chronic lymphocytic leukemia is a genetic variant -590T IL-4 (OR = 1,45) and protective factor -590S IL-4 (OR = 0,68). Genetic markers -590T IL-4 (OR = 2,46), -590TT IL-4 (OR = 6,65) and mix-590TT genotype of IL-4 allele 703S-IL-5 (OR = 6.

Unlabelled: The objective of this study was to identify case characteristics and clinical course of the disease in patients hospitalized with 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) infection during the first wave of the pandemic and to identify risk factors associated with the complicated course of illness.
Material And Methods: A retrospective study of adult cases of the laboratory-confirmed 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) virus admitted to three hospitals in Kaunas between November 1, 2009, and March 15, 2010, was carried out. The main outcome measures were clinical characteristics, risk factors for complicated disease, treatment, and clinical course of the disease.
The paper presents the results of a study of embryonic or primitive hemoglobin (HbP), by using the authors' developed immunodiffusion monovalent test system in the neonatal umbilical blood and in girls than in the boys. HbP was also detected in patients with erythema (66.7%) and acute myeloleukemia (22.
