Purpose: BMS-986299 is a first-in-class, NOD-, LRR-, and pyrin-domain containing-3 (NLRP3) inflammasome agonist enhancing adaptive immune and T-cell memory responses.
Materials And Methods: This was a phase-I (NCT03444753) study that assessed the safety and tolerability of intra-tumoral BMS-986299 monotherapy (part 1A) and in combination (part 1B) with nivolumab, and ipilimumab in advanced solid tumors. Reported here are single-center results.

Because the liver plays a vital role in the clearance of exogenous chemical compounds, it is susceptible to chemical-induced toxicity. Animal-based testing is routinely used to assess the hepatotoxic potential of chemicals. While large-scale high-throughput sequencing data can indicate the genes affected by chemical exposures, we need system-level approaches to interpret these changes.

Background: Cancer is a significant global health issue due to its high incidence and mortality rates. In recent years, the relationship between the human microbiota and cancer has garnered attention across various medical fields. This includes research into the microbial communities that influence cancer development, tumor-associated microorganisms, and the interactions between the microbiome and tumor, collectively referred to as the oncobiome.

Purpose: Sinusoidal obstructive syndrome (SOS)/veno-occlusive disease (VOD) is a serious complication in hematopoietic stem-cell transplant (HSCT) patients. Gemtuzumab-ozogamicin (GO) and InO are known to cause SOS/VOD in leukemic and transplant populations. Due to limited data on ursodiol prophylaxis in non-HSCT patients, we aimed to assess hepatotoxicity, SOS/VOD incidences, time to hepatotoxicity, and confirmed SOS/VOD in adults receiving GO or InO ± ursodiol.
