Treatment of highly selective or low overall eating by children may prevent the development of more complicated feeding difficulties, which can result in compromised health status and developmental concerns as well as the need for more intensive interventions. Caregiver-friendly intervention strategies that can be implemented with children in their community environments (e.g., in the child's home or school) may reduce the need for tertiary care. A small but growing number of studies have found that certain behavioral procedures can be effective in the absence of escape extinction with children who have established eating patterns (i.e., inadequate intake, selectivity by food type). This article reviews these procedural variations within the behavioral pediatric feeding literature and provides a practical guide for individuals who develop behavioral interventions for children in community settings.

Introduction: This scoping review examines the application and evolution of the Social-Ecological Model for Adolescent and Young Adult Readiness for Transition (SMART). SMART provides a framework for assessing transition readiness across pediatric chronic conditions. Evaluating its research and clinical applications identifies insights and gaps across conditions and stakeholders.

With 25% of teenagers pregnant by age of 19 and about half of these married before their 18th birth day, Uganda exhibits one of the highest rates of teenage pregnancy and child marriage globally. Comprehensive data on the drivers and barriers to addressing repeat teenage pregnancies and early child marriages remains limited. Using the narrative inquiry approach, the paper explores the key socio-cultural drivers and barriers to addressing repeat teenage pregnancies and early/forced marriages among stakeholders in the districts of Mbale, Kween, Namayingo and Kalangala.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) disproportionately affects certain sub-populations, including people with experience of incarceration (PWEI). Little is known about how perceptions of HCV and treatment have changed despite simplifications in testing and treatment in carceral settings. Nineteen semi-structured interviews were conducted with people living with or having a history of HCV infection released from Quebec provincial prison.

Odor source localization (OSL) technology allows autonomous agents like mobile robots to localize a target odor source in an unknown environment. This is achieved by an OSL navigation algorithm that processes an agent's sensor readings to calculate action commands to guide the robot to locate the odor source. Compared to traditional 'olfaction-only' OSL algorithms, our proposed OSL algorithm integrates vision and olfaction sensor modalities to localize odor sources even if olfaction sensing is disrupted by non-unidirectional airflow or vision sensing is impaired by environmental complexities.

This study investigates the effect of microstructural changes in polyurethane coatings on their water resistance properties. Polyurethane coatings with varying diluent contents were prepared and tested for water penetration resistance and mechanical property retention. The time-dependent behavior of water within the coatings at different immersion durations was analyzed using low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).
