Over the past decade, the size of neural network models has gradually increased in both breadth and depth, leading to a growing interest in the application of neural network pruning. Unstructured pruning provides fine-grained sparsity and achieves better inference acceleration under specific hardware support. Unstructured Pruning at Initialization (PaI) optimizes the iterative pruning pipeline, but sparse weights increase the risk of underfitting during training.

Tumor necrosis factor (TNF) is a biomarker of inflammation whose levels are elevated in patients with several diseases associated with dysregulation of the immune response. The main limitations of currently used anti-TNF therapies are the induction of immunodepression, which in many cases leads to serious adverse effects such as infection and cancer, and the inability to cross the blood-brain barrier in neuroinflammatory conditions. Melatonin, in addition to being a chronobiotic compound, is widely known for its antioxidant and immunomodulatory capacity to control inflammatory processes in different pathological contexts.

Background: Health-related social problems are common in primary care. Different care models integrating medical and non-medical services in primary care have been tested and established nationally and internationally, such as social prescribing, social work in primary care, health kiosks and integrated primary care centres. The aim of our study was to explore the perspective of general practitioners (GPs) working in Germany on these four care models regarding their meaningfulness and if they would like to use them.

In this work, we explored the potential of the spot test combined with image analysis using smartphones as a rapid, simple, low-cost, and environmentally friendly method for identifying methadone concentration. Herein, a carbon-gold nanocomposite has been used to generate color variation at different concentrations of methadone. The data obtained from the digital image colorimetric method was compared with those from the UV-Vis spectroscopy as a standard technique.

In glioblastoma, glioma-associated microglia/macrophages (GAMs) represent the major population of tumor infiltrating cells, with up to one half of the cells of the tumor mass. Recent studies have shown that microglia are involved in the maintenance of immunological homeostasis and protection against autoimmunity.
