Introduction: Perioperative neurocognitive dysfunction (PND) is a significant challenge for patients who need surgery worldwide. Morphine can trigger an intense inflammatory reaction in the central nervous system (CNS) at the same time as analgesia, thus adverse effects aggravating PND. Microglia polarization is closely involved in the regulation of neuroinflammation and the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway.

Background: Posterolateral tibial plateau fractures pose significant challenges for orthopedic surgeons due to the anatomical risks associated with the posterolateral approach. Despite numerous surgical techniques available, there lacks a consensus on the optimal approach.
Methods: Articular line incision approach was employed on 12 patients suffering from posterolateral tibial plateau fractures.

Introduction: As a result of increased incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury in young athletes, there is a rise in the indications surgical ACL reconstruction procedures. The value of anterolateral ligament (ALL) reconstruction emerges as a proposed solution to prevent graft failures and improve stability in this high demanding category of patients. The purpose of this study is to present our experience with a novel hamstring auto-grafting technique, the single antegrade sling graft (SASG), for combined reconstruction of both ACL and ALL using autologous gracilis (GR) and semitendinosus (ST) grafts utilizing a single femoral tunnel and double tibial tunnels.

Background: Bicondylar tibial plateau fractures are often associated with significant soft tissue compromise making operative treatment challenging. Dual plating through a two-incision approach following temporary external fixation has been shown to improve complication rates although deep infection rates remain high. The objective was to evaluate early outcomes following a novel technique of percutaneous application of the medial plate superficial to the pes anserinus tendons.
