Introduction: Ellis-van Creveld syndrome (EVC) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by growth retardation, dysplastic nails, cardiac defects, dental abnormalities, and polydactyly. Early diagnosis and multidisciplinary management are essential for improving patient outcomes.
Case Report: We present a case of a 12-year-old male with EVC, born to consanguineous parents, who presented with bilateral bowing of the legs and difficulty walking.

Introduction: This report describes the use of a combination of a retrograde femoral nail and distal femur locking plate for the treatment of an open intra-articular distal femur fracture in a 99-year-old female. The purpose of this report is to highlight that nail-plate fixation constructs can be performed percutaneously and expeditiously even in extremely old patients; therefore, patient age should not be a limiting factor in choosing this construct to allow for immediate weight-bearing.
Case Report: The patient was a 99-year-old female who presented to the emergency room after a fall.

Background: Digitally Enhanced Hands-on Surgical Training (DEHST) platform was introduced to overcome the lack of training capabilities for the challenging task of freehand distal interlocking of intramedullary nails. It demonstrates high perceived realism for surgeons, and novices perform significantly better after DEHST training. However, characterization of how performance improves remained unexplored.

There is a practice gap with regard to knowledge of normal oral mucosa variants, performance of the oral examination, and competence in diagnosing and treating oral mucosal disorders.
