Two new flavonoids, named cambodianins D (1) and E (2), together with two known flavanes (2S)-7,4'-dihydroxy-6,8-dimethylflavane (3) and (2S)-7,3'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxy-8-methylflavane (4), were isolated from dragon's blood of Dracaena cambodiana. The new compounds were determined by HR-ESI-MS and spectroscopic techniques (UV, IR, 1D, and 2D NMR). Compounds 1-3 exhibited antimicrobial activities.

Diabetic wound (DW) represent a significant clinical challenge and often fail to heal effectively. Loureirin B (LB), a flavonoid extracted from dragon's blood, has shown potential by influencing macrophage polarization and promoting wound healing. However, its mechanisms and efficacy in DW remain to be explored.

The quest for novel therapeutic agents has rekindled interest in natural products, particularly those derived from biotransformation processes. Dihydrochalcones, a class of plant secondary metabolites, exhibit a range of pharmacological properties. Chalcone and dihydrochalcone compounds with the characteristic 4'-hydroxy substitution are present in 'dragon's blood' resin, known for its traditional medicinal uses and complex composition, making the isolation of these compounds challenging.

Objective: The aim of this study was to comprehensively analyze the differences in Chinese dragon's blood (CDB), specifically and , from different geographical origins.
Methods: Metabolomic analysis of CDB was performed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). A reliable ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography method with a photodiode array detector (UHPLC-PDA) was developed and applied for the quantitative analysis of 12 phenolic compounds in 51 batches of samples.
