AI Article Synopsis

  • Some skin conditions can show quick outbreaks of small, similar lesions.
  • The text highlights specific examples of these skin issues occurring in teenagers.
  • These rapid skin changes fall under a category known as dermatosis.

Article Abstract

In some instances, a dermatosis exhibits a rapid and focal surge of seemingly similar tiny lesions. We report a few typical exemples occurring in adolescents.

Background: Trichoscopy is a simple, noninvasive tool to help in the diagnosis of various hair and scalp disorders. There is paucity of data on the normal trichoscopic parameters of hair density and diameter in the Indian population.

Aim: The aim of this study was to establish the trichoscopic patterns of hair and scalp in healthy Indian males and to provide a framework for future reference.

Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluated the histological response of dental pulp when treated with two materials—alendronate and Biodentine—during a direct pulp capping procedure on rabbits.
  • Twenty-four anterior teeth were tested, with one group capped with alendronate and the other with Biodentine, followed by a 30-day observation period for histological analysis after the rabbits were euthanized.
  • Results showed that Biodentine formed a more uniform and dense dentin bridge with less inflammation, indicating better biocompatibility, while alendronate produced varied results but still promoted reparative dentin formation.

Research Note: Reticulocytes and related erythroid atypia of ducks-indicators of stress or pathology?

Poult Sci

February 2024

Cotter Laboratory, Arlington, MA 02476, USA. Electronic address:

Two kinds of reticulocytes, and atypical erythroid cells, were found in the blood of apparently healthy ducks with Wright-Giemsa (W-G) stain. The reticulin of network-type examples (nRtc) is of a large complex (3-D) form. The punctate reticulocyte (pRtc) contains small pin-point cytoplasmic granulations; both cells are distinct from a polychromatic RBC (pRBC).

In this paper, we report the damage and damage growth in potassium dihydrogen phosphate and its deuterated analog crystals. A time-resolved shadow imaging system was used to investigate the damage behavior in the bulk and on the rear surface. The damage images show differences in the damage sizes of the crystals with different deuterization rates.

Type-Independent 3D Writing and Nano-Patterning of Confined Biopolymers.

Biopolymers are essential building blocks that constitute cells and tissues with well-defined molecular structures and diverse biological functions. Their three-dimensional (3D) complex architectures are used to analyze, control, and mimic various cells and their ensembles. However, the free-form and high-resolution structuring of various biopolymers remain challenging because their structural and rheological control depend critically on their polymeric types at the submicron scale.
