From 1995 to 2006 we performed embolisation in 9 patients with bilateral kidney cancer. Embolization of kidney with smallest cancer was done at the first stage with subsequent embolisation of tumor in the contralateral kidney. Technically all procedures were successful and were performed without complications. Operative intervention on the contralateral kidney was undertaken 1-4 months after embolization in 8 patients. Five patients are alive for 5 and more years. Four patients died in 34-49 months after intervention. Selective embolization is a safe and effective modality which expands our abilities to treat patients with bilateral kidney cancer. Embolization can be used as single treatment modality and in combination with subsequent surgery.

Cushing syndrome (CS) is a constellation of signs and symptoms caused by excessive exposure to exogenous or endogenous glucocorticoid hormones. Endogenous CS is caused by increased cortisol production by one or both adrenal glands (adrenal CS) or by elevated adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) secretion from a pituitary tumour (Cushing disease (CD)) or non-pituitary tumour (ectopic ACTH secretion), which stimulates excessive cortisol production. CS is associated with severe multisystem morbidity, including impaired cardiovascular and metabolic function, infections and neuropsychiatric disorders, which notably reduce quality of life.

Approximately 5-10% of patients with hypertension have secondary hypertension. We describe a case of secondary hypertension from bilateral renal artery stenosis (RAS): "Pickering syndrome." This is a case of hypertension secondary to bilateral RAS which provides an opportunity to review secondary hypertension with a specific focus on RAS, in terms of when to consider work up, causes of secondary hypertension, diagnostic testing, and treatment.

Wilms' tumor (WT), also known as nephroblastoma, is a malignant embryonal kidney tumor composed of embryonic cells and is the most prevalent tumor among children, but isolated cases occur infrequently in the adult population. Adult WT is defined according to the criteria of Kilton, Matthews, and Cohen, which comprise age above 15 years and histological patterns characteristic of WT. We report a case of an adult WT with venous thrombus on an incomplete duplex collecting system.
